Keeping Busy Again

Even though I am a stay-at-home mom and Shane has this "time off", time is still flying by for me. I can't believe I am two days away from being 30 weeks pregnant. I can't believe Dylan is two days away from a week until his 7th birthday. I can't believe that Lincoln continues to find new forms of destruction in our home. I can't believe that Danielle is talking about college and her future. Where in the world has the time gone?
Spring break is coming up for Dylan next month (which happens to be the same week Shane is in Reno for the big panel meeting) so we are trying to figure out what kind of stuff we want to do while Daddy is gone. I've been nesting quite a bit which is nice to get some projects done but I also keep wearing myself out, or the combination of two already active boys adds as well. Lincoln is officially moved into the "Big Boys Room" meaning Shane and I will have a room to ourselves for about two months.
We also have decided on the name Warner for baby boy #3. We are still working on the middle name and have it down to four contenders but I figure I won't push it right now since Shane finally agreed that the middle name Shane just wasn't going to fly again. Now to continue to pray for a healthy baby and stop obsessing over getting everything organized and stock piled.
Dylan drew on his face the other day when he was pretending to be a football player and a few hours later Lincoln came out of somewhere with his forehead nice and decorated too. Oh man at least it wasn't the fridge with a sharpie again.

Enjoying a nice snack of raw veggies and ranch in front of the tv. Why yes my belly does make a nice shelf for holding things. I do believe that is cowboy Lincoln eating a raw orange pepper. Luckily he is a good eater.

Shane decided it was finally time to get rid of our old rickity coat tree that Baby Destructor kept pulling over and custom built two coat racks on the wall the other day. Luckily he had a great helper the whole time.

Picture taken about two weeks ago. Man I just keep growing. Luckily this has been a really mild pregnancy compared to what it could be, my only complaints are back aches and heartburn.

As mentioned above Lincoln loves to help and be involved in whatever we are doing. Here he is just lounging in his old baby car seat. I still can not believe he has grown so much in the last year and a half!

Wow so obviously I am not great a catching everyone at their best but I love this picture. Dylan rides the bus to school and here the boys are waiting for me to walk them out. Lincoln likes to go out and wave to the bus on days when it is not below freezing (still!) or when we aren't rushing to get there at the right time. Luckily we just have to walk down our driveway to get to the bus stop. They have gotten really close now that Lincoln can actually play better and that they are sharing a room. Even with a five year difference I love seeing them play together. It will be so great when there are three together!

To Infinity and Beyond

Well beyond five years that is. February 22 marks our first date and somehow Shane even remembered that. Since I feel like a crumb-bum of a wife lately I set up a special little thing to show him how much these last five years have actually meant to me. (I get that it isn't our wedding anniversary but any day can be special so I wanted to make this special too) I wrote him a little love letter and put out five things that are meaningful in our relationship together, quite the mishmash if you ask me, but it works. In no particular order: 1. Motley Crue - We we to our first concert together over the summer to see Shane's favorite band and I got to get my 80's on while he got to relive the glory days. 2. The Spiderwick Chronicles - We went to see this movie with our nephews for our first official date. I think it's sweet that now the boys watch it all the time. 3. Coffee - We have shared many conversations, hours, and events all while drinking coffee. We both love it ...

Do's and Don'ts of Birthdays and Parties

My oldest son just turned 7 and since we are watching every cent going out I tried to be as creative as possible when coming up with the birthday of a life time (until next year).  Do: Make Them Feel Important Without Spending Money Waffles with chocolate syrup for breakfast are ok on a special day like this! (I love using a pizza cutter to slice waffles and pancakes for the little guys, especially Lincoln who is still learning to feed himself with a fork) Measuring on the wall of fame, we only write on it once a year now to make it exciting. Dylan grew about 3.25 inches in one year! This momma gets tired quicker than ever being 30+ weeks pregnant and chasing after a rowdy toddler so I didn't do the fanciest cakes (remember the volcano cake from birthday 4 or the mint chocolate chip cupcakes from last year) but I did find some cute stickers that have been in the house for years, put a matching one on both sides of a flat tooth pick and voila, cupcakes to compete with the best ...

Sisters

Who knew that when I was a kid, forced to share a room with my arch enemy, that one day I would grow up and have an automatic best friend? I finally realize how important siblings are in your life as I watch my boys play together. Yes I make them share and play together and take care of each other. They will always be around no matter how sad or angry you make them. Heck I sat on my sister when she was inside a sleeping bag and my friends and I used to tease her *Jackie, she is so tacky...* but I think she's forgiven me. She came for an overnight trip last week to meet Warner and to help me out around the house when Shane first went back to work and I couldn't be happier to have her in my life. I can text or call or facebook her any time to tell her a funny story or ask her for advice. We're even attempting to take all of our combine 5 kids (three under two!) on an 800+ miles on way road trip in a few weeks. I didn't appreciate all the family time when I was younger b...
