Warner 9 Months

Whew. Sorry guys I just needed a mini-break from blogging there. I got really ambitious and thought I could do all these great things with blogging but then I realized after hours and failed attempts at changing my background template and adding a facebook like button and all sorts of awesome things that I got burnt out on anything tech savvy. The the battery in the computer stopped taking a charge so I couldn't have blogged if I wanted to. Then when we got it back I just couldn't drag myself to write anything. I can't do it all. So I'm just going to do what I originally set out to do which was a blog about our normal, boring life. Plus the unexpected adventures that come along. I've been taking pictures even if I haven't been blogging so here is the biggest one of February.

Warner is now 9 months old!

He is all sorts of active now. Crawling, climbing, pulling up on furniture, opening cabinets, cruising along anything stable. Eating table foods cut up very small including cheerios, carrots and beans. He loves yogurt and whatever we are eating. He calls for "Mama" when he is upset. He is starting to wave and point to what he wants. He growls like a pitbull. He stands at the side of the tub and screeches to get in. He loves his brothers and anything having to do with them. He loves being outside and trying to pull the dogs hair. He doesn't like getting his face wiped or his finger nails cut. He has two teeth, is 20 pounds and 28 1/4" long. Almost time to move him into the convertible carseat.
Apparently he was also not too happy about taking pictures this day.

Keeping up with the Sadlers

Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada"  Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :)  Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Weird, another tongue shot, he does it a lot. While playing with a plush orange (like the fruit) it sort of landed like this and I thought it looked a little like a bikini top and snapped a pic. Hey you have to have fun with life right?

Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

I've been tweaking this overnight sourdough cinnamon roll recipe over the last few months and I think it's finally, exactly, the way I like it. We love this for slow weekend mornings, to take to family and friends, or for special holiday get togethers. It's also the same recipe I use when making them to sell locally. I've been keeping it under wraps for no reason in particular but it's just too good not to share.  I don't have a reliable kitchen scale so this recipe uses good old fashion cups and goes a lot by the feeling of the dough. It will get messy but don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out just right the first time. No matter the flop, these cinnamon rolls will never disappoint taste wise.  The PDF printable can be found here or you can keep reading.  Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls  The night before you want to make rolls: 8 Tablespoons cold butter, shredded (a whole stick) 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose or bread flour  1/2 cup sourdou...

What the Happenings

Lincoln tried out Play-Doh for the first time a while ago. He really liked breaking it up into tiny pieces and trying to put it back in the container. And he didn't try to put it in his mouth too many times. As you can tell by the picture he got tired out from all the creativity pretty quickly so we'll try it again when he has a little more vigor for the squishy stuff. I think this picture is from our drive over to Richland a few weeks ago. We headed over there to visit Shane's grandma and the a bbq at his brothers house. The kids love pictures of themselves and Danielle took this picture of the both of them.  Waiting to get Shane's winter tires on the jeep, Lincoln had fun checking out the giant tires at Les Schwab. There was one big enough he could crawl into but he wasn't a fan of being shoved in there. He loves to climb and explore and get himself stuck, but only on his own accord. He does not like authority trying to tell him what to do (gee I wonder where ...
