You don't know me from Adam...

Shane took the camera hunting for the next week and a half so here I am without new adorable pictures of Lincoln's rolls on his thighs and forearms (not even in normal places for fat rolls!) so I shall post an awkward story instead.
I was at Fred Meyer the other day doing some grocery shopping. My town is fairly small and I always go to this specific store because I know the lay out and I think it is cheaper than Safeway and SuperOne. Since that is like the hot spot of Ellensburg I see a lot of the same people working there when I am there like every week. One of the guys that works there had a daughter in swim lessons with Dylan so I met him a while ago. Anyway I said Hi yesterday and he came up and said "I know you don't know me from Adam but I'm a little concerned." I looked at him a little awkward because I didn't know if he was going to joke around about how often I am in there or something. "I've known you for a little while now and since you've been pregnant you've had that bruise on your neck..." and I cut him off with another awkward look and laughed. Oh yes my lovely birthmark. I've gotten "hickey" before but this was my first bruise remark to my face at least. Sounds like I shall be wearing my hair down more often so CPS isn't accidentally called.

Keeping up with the Sadlers

Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada"  Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :)  Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Weird, another tongue shot, he does it a lot. While playing with a plush orange (like the fruit) it sort of landed like this and I thought it looked a little like a bikini top and snapped a pic. Hey you have to have fun with life right?

Soaking it all In

Because I have a bad habit of zoning out when the tv is on, I've turned it off and told myself it can't come on until a rerun of a show I wanted to see comes on at 11. I can't stay up late so I'm trying to watch shows that will rerun, which is most of them outside of the basic cable channels. So obviously instead of working on my homework about Intercultural Crossings in Indian Music while Lincoln is taking a nap, I'm on here updating you on the trivial matters of my day. A friend told me an interesting revelation the other day. "When you have a child that is an infant you are the most physically exhausted. When you have a child that is just entering school aged you are the most mentally exhausted. When you have a teenager you are the most emotionally exhausted." So the way I see it, since I have one in each category I'm basically the most exhausted I'm going to get and since I'm seeming to do ok, it's only going to get easier from here. Y...

New Moves

So I officially started feeling the baby moving around this week, Tuesday to be exact, and now I feel dancing all the time. It's pretty weird because it has been so long since I've housed a fetus and I know no one else can feel it from the outside, but it's really real. The picture I took on the left shows me holding a photo of a 17week baby to scale. It's hard to imagine something that big is fitting inside of me already :) We had the "Mom" talk today inside the Dollar Store. Danielle asked me if it was ok if she could call me Mom. She says I treat her the way a mom should treat her daughter and that made me so proud. I am so glad that even though we have our daily and weekly ups and downs that our family unit is really coming together.
