Vacation part 3 - Great Wolf Lodge

Because of our late registration to the campsites in Idaho we didn't have a full week of fun available so we decided to try out the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA. Yes it was pricy for a hotel room, but the cost included the beautiful huge room, entrance to the waterpark, and tons of fun stuff to do around the hotel. The hotel is like it's own city. We had a great time with each of the kids finding something different they really liked and overall had a great experience.

The prices for food there is much like any theme park but the room comes with a mini fridge so I recommend bringing snacks, just don't shop at the minimart next door, it's just as expensive!

Also I just realized while pricing hotels in downtown Seattle, the price isn't that crazy after all. No wonder we don't get out that often!

Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

I've been tweaking this overnight sourdough cinnamon roll recipe over the last few months and I think it's finally, exactly, the way I like it. We love this for slow weekend mornings, to take to family and friends, or for special holiday get togethers. It's also the same recipe I use when making them to sell locally. I've been keeping it under wraps for no reason in particular but it's just too good not to share. I don't have a reliable kitchen scale so this recipe uses good old fashion cups and goes a lot by the feeling of the dough. Belated Christmas Pics

Because I didn't download any pictures for a while, and then it was after Christmas and things got wild for a while I kind of skipped over the actual holiday so several weeks late, here is how we spent our Christmas. I didn't get any pictures when we were over at Shane's family's house but we spent lots of time over there too. All four kids in one picture together! Warner kind of blends into the tree skirt but his little baldish head stands out. Luckily the matching pajamas I bought for the boys last year still fit too. Head lamps for spying on Santa. Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada" Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :) Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Weird, another tongue shot, he does it a lot. While playing with a plush orange (like the fruit) it sort of landed like this and I thought it looked a little like a bikini top and snapped a pic.
