Growing Up Before My Eyes

Lincoln will be walking before we know it. This little guy is just fearless. He will walk along furniture or the wall and then just let go. So many bumps and bruises but it doesn't phase him, he just keeps going and finding something else to get into.

Danielle is over 5 feet tall now, 5'3/4" according to the measurement Grandpa Larry took last night at Coby's birthday dinner. Wow, she is turning into a beautiful young woman.

Shane and I aren't growing up so much as just growing out and around. His 20 year reunion is in early August and I know he's hoping to tone up a little before then so we'll have to see how that adventure turns out. I've pretty much morphed back into my pre-pregnancy body (thank God since Linc is almost 11 months!) but my stomach muscles got stretched out like an old rubber band. We will be in swim wear a lot this summer so either I just have to not care or do something about it and I think I'm leaning more now towards just not caring.

Keeping up with the Sadlers

Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada" Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :) Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Weird, another tongue shot, he does it a lot. While playing with a plush orange (like the fruit) it sort of landed like this and I thought it looked a little like a bikini top and snapped a pic. Hey you have to have fun with life right?

Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

I've been tweaking this overnight sourdough cinnamon roll recipe over the last few months and I think it's finally, exactly, the way I like it. We love this for slow weekend mornings, to take to family and friends, or for special holiday get togethers. It's also the same recipe I use when making them to sell locally. I've been keeping it under wraps for no reason in particular but it's just too good not to share. I don't have a reliable kitchen scale so this recipe uses good old fashion cups and goes a lot by the feeling of the dough. It will get messy but don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out just right the first time. No matter the flop, these cinnamon rolls will never disappoint taste wise. What the Happenings

Lincoln tried out Play-Doh for the first time a while ago. He really liked breaking it up into tiny pieces and trying to put it back in the container. And he didn't try to put it in his mouth too many times. As you can tell by the picture he got tired out from all the creativity pretty quickly so we'll try it again when he has a little more vigor for the squishy stuff. I think this picture is from our drive over to Richland a few weeks ago. We headed over there to visit Shane's grandma and the a bbq at his brothers house. The kids love pictures of themselves and Danielle took this picture of the both of them. Waiting to get Shane's winter tires on the jeep, Lincoln had fun checking out the giant tires at Les Schwab.
