Drop It Like It's Hot

Had my 38 week appointment today and everything is looking pretty average, which I am excited about. I measured slightly smaller than last week so the baby has dropped, his heart rate is perfectly normal and head is down in position. This little sprout could be here any time. I keep saying we are in no hurry but I'm thinking next weekend will be the ticket. Who really knows though? If this kid is anything like his dad or older brother he will come only when he wants to :)

I didn't realize how perfectly round my belly is until just now. 
Yesterday I was trying to get off the couch to get Lincoln a snack and I asked him to help me "hold" the baby. He came over and put his chubby little hands on my belly and really tried to help hold him until we got into the kitchen. He will hopefully be a great big brother.

Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada"  Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :)  Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

I've been tweaking this overnight sourdough cinnamon roll recipe over the last few months and I think it's finally, exactly, the way I like it. We love this for slow weekend mornings, to take to family and friends, or for special holiday get togethers. It's also the same recipe I use when making them to sell locally. I've been keeping it under wraps for no reason in particular but it's just too good not to share.  I don't have a reliable kitchen scale so this recipe uses good old fashion cups and goes a lot by the feeling of the dough. It will get messy but don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out just right the first time. New Moves

So I officially started feeling the baby moving around this week, Tuesday to be exact, and now I feel dancing all the time. It's pretty weird because it has been so long since I've housed a fetus and I know no one else can feel it from the outside, but it's really real. The picture I took on the left shows me holding a photo of a 17week baby to scale. It's hard to imagine something that big is fitting inside of me already :) We had the "Mom" talk today inside the Dollar Store. Danielle asked me if it was ok if she could call me Mom. She says I treat her the way a mom should treat her daughter and that made me so proud. I am so glad that even though we have our daily and weekly ups and downs that our family unit is really coming together.
