Working Hard or Hardly Working

One of Dylan's newest passions is coloring in a fuzzy picture. You know kind of like a velvet Elvis but it's kid pictures that you can color in yourself. He got one the other day and this is the first (and only so far) project that he has worked on for a while and then come back another day to work on for a while more. He is actually taking his time and trying to do well. That makes me a happy momma. While trying to take this picture I asked him to look at me and he replied "I can't. You're ruining my concentration." Wow they grow fast.
The kids have been playing great together lately. My only gripe is that I have to separate
them for the usual reasons. They just can't keep their hands to themselves, always touching or poking, tickling or giving wedgies. But luckily I've got some great kids.

    I'm so glad that they get along so well, despite their age difference.....they are great kids and I miss them!! Love you sissy!

Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada"  Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :)  Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Weird, another tongue shot, he does it a lot. While playing with a plush orange (like the fruit) it sort of landed like this and I thought it looked a little like a bikini top and snapped a pic. Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

I've been tweaking this overnight sourdough cinnamon roll recipe over the last few months and I think it's finally, exactly, the way I like it. We love this for slow weekend mornings, to take to family and friends, or for special holiday get togethers. It's also the same recipe I use when making them to sell locally. I've been keeping it under wraps for no reason in particular but it's just too good not to share.  I don't have a reliable kitchen scale so this recipe uses good old fashion cups and goes a lot by the feeling of the dough. It will get messy but don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out just right the first time. New Moves

So I officially started feeling the baby moving around this week, Tuesday to be exact, and now I feel dancing all the time. It's pretty weird because it has been so long since I've housed a fetus and I know no one else can feel it from the outside, but it's really real. The picture I took on the left shows me holding a photo of a 17week baby to scale. It's hard to imagine something that big is fitting inside of me already :) We had the "Mom" talk today inside the Dollar Store. Danielle asked me if it was ok if she could call me Mom. She says I treat her the way a mom should treat her daughter and that made me so proud. I am so glad that even though we have our daily and weekly ups and downs that our family unit is really coming together.
