Getting Through to the End

We've had quite the unusual schedule lately but things are starting to go back to normal now. I'm at 37 weeks now so we are getting down to the wire to meet this little guy and luckily we are pretty much ready for him. There are things I want to do outside, but bending over is getting harder and harder for me. I also just looked at the forecast for the weekend and it says that Saturday is going to be around 78degrees around here! Combine that with the hot pregnant woman syndrome I am experiencing and that might be a bad combination... but I am looking forward to a nice family BBQ at the least. Shane has to fit in 40 hrs of work before he can take FMLA time off so I have to keep the baby in until at least next Tuesday. I'm still in no hurry to get him out, but it's becoming more and more a reality that he will be here in no time.
Life around here has been busy so I thought I'd let you in on what we did lately without much more time.

The boys had pretty similar jammie pants so of course they wanted to match. Here's a pic of them having  a little basketball time before bed.

I also had to make Dylan a new big bro shirt since the last one I made fell apart. Luckily this one looks so similar to the one we bought at Goodwill for Linc (center) and I even made one for Warner. I still can't believe there will be three boys here soon!

I also tried out this recipe for Baked Scallops for dinner last night after I found some on clearance at Fred Meyer yesterday and made these Zucchini Chocolate Chip Muffins to have for snacks. I think I'll take a day off today.

  1. Those shirts are too cute (as are your boys!)! You should do a little "photoshoot" with them when Warner is here! Can't want to come visit you guys once he gets here.... I'm not sure where Luke and I will sleep now though haha, we'll figure it out!

  2. Lincoln was such a tease with that ball. Those boys are gonna be hot stuff as they get older. You're gonna have to bat all the girls away!

And I agree with Jax.... the shirts are great.

  3. I've seen Lincoln sink a basket hundreds of times. So funny that he won't do it with the camera rolling:) Love the shirts Shani.

Keeping up with the Sadlers

Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada"  Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :)  Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Weird, another tongue shot, he does it a lot. While playing with a plush orange (like the fruit) it sort of landed like this and I thought it looked a little like a bikini top and snapped a pic. Hey you have to have fun with life right?

Soaking it all In

Because I have a bad habit of zoning out when the tv is on, I've turned it off and told myself it can't come on until a rerun of a show I wanted to see comes on at 11. I can't stay up late so I'm trying to watch shows that will rerun, which is most of them outside of the basic cable channels. So obviously instead of working on my homework about Intercultural Crossings in Indian Music while Lincoln is taking a nap, I'm on here updating you on the trivial matters of my day. A friend told me an interesting revelation the other day. "When you have a child that is an infant you are the most physically exhausted. When you have a child that is just entering school aged you are the most mentally exhausted. When you have a teenager you are the most emotionally exhausted." So the way I see it, since I have one in each category I'm basically the most exhausted I'm going to get and since I'm seeming to do ok, it's only going to get easier from here. Y...

New Moves

So I officially started feeling the baby moving around this week, Tuesday to be exact, and now I feel dancing all the time. It's pretty weird because it has been so long since I've housed a fetus and I know no one else can feel it from the outside, but it's really real. The picture I took on the left shows me holding a photo of a 17week baby to scale. It's hard to imagine something that big is fitting inside of me already :) We had the "Mom" talk today inside the Dollar Store. Danielle asked me if it was ok if she could call me Mom. She says I treat her the way a mom should treat her daughter and that made me so proud. I am so glad that even though we have our daily and weekly ups and downs that our family unit is really coming together.
