All Boy (too many pictures)

I know, get ahold of yourself Shannon. Too many pictures of your children. Except I don't think that could happen. We have been busy running around after the little guy (gasp less than a month until his first birthday, time to get busy planning) and other general household maintenance projects such as redoing the back deck and trying to decide what color to paint our manufactured palace. Anyhoo here a a few pictures from the last few days. Enjoy.

Checking out the curls
Can you see those? Yep beautiful long flowing curls. Such a difference from Dylan's stick straight hair. Shane's was the same way when he was a baby so yet another reason he is just like Daddy.
My boys play hard. Lincoln is always getting into something or trying to walk without being ready so he's got scrapes and bruises all over the place. Man this kid is crazy.
Dylan scarfing down the last bit of ice cream out of the carton. The simple pleasures in life make the best memories right? Sometimes it's ok to be the cool mom.
Pushing the baby around the living room in a box. Need I say more?
Tub time is still loved around here by all except when he wants to stand and walk all along the edge.
He looks so different without all that crazy hair!
Deep in thought after the bath.
Summer Lovin'
Oh man it got hot the other day so of course I had to document the first tank top of the season especially since those arm chubs will be gone in no time. Love it.
Playing with the pots and pans, oh what fun.
Making a Daddy face :)

Keeping up with the Sadlers

Lincoln favorite new past time, listen closely for "Dada"  Dylan had cowboy day at school and could dress up and meet "real cowboys". We live in a hick town and his school was having an assembly about the cowboy way , or having character. Yes, Lincoln's bib is purplish, but it says I Love my Sister so it's ok :)  Cute big boy outfit Auntie Jackie got Lincoln, while sticking out his tongue. I think it looks like a little pickle. Weird, another tongue shot, he does it a lot. While playing with a plush orange (like the fruit) it sort of landed like this and I thought it looked a little like a bikini top and snapped a pic. Hey you have to have fun with life right?

What the Happenings

Lincoln tried out Play-Doh for the first time a while ago. He really liked breaking it up into tiny pieces and trying to put it back in the container. And he didn't try to put it in his mouth too many times. As you can tell by the picture he got tired out from all the creativity pretty quickly so we'll try it again when he has a little more vigor for the squishy stuff. I think this picture is from our drive over to Richland a few weeks ago. We headed over there to visit Shane's grandma and the a bbq at his brothers house. The kids love pictures of themselves and Danielle took this picture of the both of them.  Waiting to get Shane's winter tires on the jeep, Lincoln had fun checking out the giant tires at Les Schwab. There was one big enough he could crawl into but he wasn't a fan of being shoved in there. He loves to climb and explore and get himself stuck, but only on his own accord. He does not like authority trying to tell him what to do (gee I wonder where ...

Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

I've been tweaking this overnight sourdough cinnamon roll recipe over the last few months and I think it's finally, exactly, the way I like it. We love this for slow weekend mornings, to take to family and friends, or for special holiday get togethers. It's also the same recipe I use when making them to sell locally. I've been keeping it under wraps for no reason in particular but it's just too good not to share.  I don't have a reliable kitchen scale so this recipe uses good old fashion cups and goes a lot by the feeling of the dough. It will get messy but don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out just right the first time. No matter the flop, these cinnamon rolls will never disappoint taste wise.  The PDF printable can be found here or you can keep reading.  Overnight Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls  The night before you want to make rolls: 8 Tablespoons cold butter, shredded (a whole stick) 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose or bread flour  1/2 cup sourdou...
