Can you guess?

I helped Dylan set up his tent in his room (it's a little kids sized one) and told him he could play in there and pretend he's camping like we are going to do this weekend. I started vacuuming the living room and heard him yell "Guess where I am Mom?" I responded with "in your tent?" and he said "yes, you guessed right." Where else would he have been? Oh man kids, you gotta love them.

34 weeks, one day early

Here we are, one day shy of 34 weeks. Why do I feel like I look exactly the same as I did a month ago? It's dumb but I'm kind of bummed after my appointment today. I have gained 15lbs total so far (an average pregnant woman should gain between 25-35 total) and I only have a little over a month left. I measured 31cm which I should be at 34cm just like weeks. Two weeks ago I measured 30cm so I should have grown more than 1cm. Baby boy is moving good, heart beat is strong and perfect and my blood pressure is good so everything there is reassuring.... I just hate being told that I'm not "normal." My doctor said that if she had seen me with my last pregnancy and knew I just measured small then she wouldn't worry about it, but she just wants to make sure that everything is ok. It's always good to know what's going on so I go in for another ultrasound next week to check it all out. I guess I should go find a snack to pack on some pounds.

I'm Excited at least...

This was one of my favorites from my shower, just me and Danielle hanging out, enjoying some time together before we get completely overrun with boys! Here is a picture of one of the highlights of my weekend (although we got to visit old friends so that was definitely the best part). I finally got to cross off changing table/dresser from my list of baby things. I am so excited that all of his clothes and things are not in piles anymore! I still have to figure out exactly where I want everything and if it will all fit since our room is getting more and more cramped, but so exciting. We found a great deal off of craigslist for the exact one I have been looking for for weeks, yay for secondhand!

Mother's Day Adventure

Let's see we went up to the Taneum Creek outside of Cle Elum, WA to have a little mother's day picnic last weekend and I am finally getting pictures up from that. We had gorgeous weather and such a fun time! Thanks for taking me kids and Hubba Hubba Hubby (as he called himself!).

Teaching Empathy

Yesterday Dylan was playing with his buddies outside and fell down and skinned his knee. He came in to get some bandaids and some cuddles and to have dinner before winding down for bed time a while later. He really doesn't like to see himself bleeding. We did the usual night things and finished reading his first chapter book (without pictures on every other page, 200+ pages!). After I tucked him in and said our prayers he looked at me and said: "You know Mom, some kids don't even have legs. I'm pretty lucky." It almost made me cry.

It's gettin' hot in here

Wow, it's amazing how hot 75degrees feels to me these days. I'm wearing a light dress and sweating like a sumo wrestler. Yikes! I'm just going to try to enjoy the sunshine and not curse the heat since I've been waiting all winter for this. Anyway at 32 weeks all is good. I haven't gained much weight since my last appointment but hey that's ok because I am still growing good. I am at the point where I have to go in for a check up every two weeks for the next month and then every week after that until little boy is born. It seems as though I'm measuring a little small but when have I not. Every time my doctor is a little concerned I have to go in for an ultrasound but the baby is growing fine. I just have a long body and will always measure small. I'm not worried but it is fun to keep counting down to meet this little guy. He must be getting cramped in there. The doctor said it seems like his head is down and his little butt is kind of to the left of my be

Name Crazy

Ahh this is so much harder with two people debating. I've narrowed down my favorites but Shane keeps going between almost all of them, hopefully some time we can actually decide! He keeps saying we have all these months left to decide but I don't see why we can't decide now, especially since we only have a few options left. Oh well. If this one decides to come as early as his brother then there are less than 7 weeks left. These are our favorites so please vote. But know you're opinion will only go so far this time around :) create free polls | comment on this S SA released the 2009 baby name list if you are interested in looking up the popularity http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi

Boring

Headache off and on all day today, no make up, just tired. 31 weeks yesterday (running late again!) Baby is around 3.5 pounds now and somewhere close to 18 inches long. No wonder I feel him all over the place in there all the time. Usually when I lay down for bed he jiggles both sides. Hoping tomorrow goes by a little better. On the plus side almost all the paperwork for Shane's FMLA and the other thing will pretty much be done tomorrow so hopefully we can have a peaceful Mother's Day this weekend.

Softball Monday

Well Danielle has her first, and only, home softball games today. For about 10 minutes there the wind actually stopped and I was so excited. But... as with Spring in Ellensburg the wind is back rattling the windows and I'm pretty sure I hear rain pouring down now as well. Dang it. Hopefully the weather clears up a bit before 4pm today. I really want to be supportive but hopefully I don't have to be too miserable during! This weekend she also has 3 games in a row in Royal City so keeping my fingers crossed for nice weather this weekend too!
